Great news! The Earl Bethel Memorial Fund has recently been established as a registered non-profit foundation in part with the The New Hampshire Charitable Trust. Peter Lamb of the Greater Piscataqua Community Foundation will be administering the foundation. Donations may be made out to Earl Bethel Memorial Fund, and sent to Peter Lamb, GREATER PISCATAQUA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, 446 Market Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801.

Dear Friends of Earl Bethel, I'm Earl's Mom. I would love to have an email from anyone who knew Earl, at Phillips Exeter or Brown, in Los Angeles or Las Vegas. Since Earl died in March 2000 we have longed for stories about him, pictures, and anecdotes that friends or fellow musicians might have to share about him. A memorial tree and granite stone was dedicated at Phillips Exeter Academy on Earl's birthday, October 14th. Thanks for the shout-out Kelsey! I'm hard at work getting a website together for Earl, and we'll soon be offering actual downloads of mp3's from Brown and Los Angeles. This will be an archive of Earl's music on the Internet. I have your email now, so I will certainly keep you posted. Hope all is well in San Francisco! Send a shout out to the peeps out there for me!

I just read about Earl's passing in the Brown Alumni Monthly. I knew Earl at Brown, and listened to Big Daddy play great music through the years. He will be deeply missed.
